Zheng Yan Rou Gui

Zheng Yan Rou Gui

$99.00

Rou Gui tea is an Oolong tea, a representative variety of Wuyi Rock Tea, and belongs to the semi-fermented tea category. It gets its name from the unique cassia/cinnamon aroma inherent in the tea liquor.

It is one of the most recognizable and widely popular sub-categories among Rock Tea due to its distinct fragrance. Different types of Rougui can also develop layers of floral, fruity, or honey notes, resulting in a rich and complex bouquet. The tea liquor is oily and lustrous, appearing bright golden-yellow and intense like amber.

The mouthfeel is mellow and full-bodied, with a clear and pungent Rou Gui spiciness. It exhibits no bitterness or astringency, offers a swift Huigan, a prolonged Houyun, and high resistance to repeated brewing.
