Xin Yang Mao Jian, a type of green tea and one of China's Top Ten Famous Teas, originates from Xinyang City, Henan Province. Harvested from tender buds before the rainy season, the tea boasts plump, bright green leaves and slender, downy dry tea leaves. Its infusion is clear and translucent, offering a fresh fragrance and a smooth, mellow taste.

Brewing Instructions:Gaiwan or Teapot Method

Water temperature: 190°F Ratio: 0.15 oz tea / 150ml water

Water steps: Rinse the tea first. Steep for 3 seconds for the first infusion, then add 5 seconds for each subsequent infusion.

Brewing Instructions:Glass Cup Method

Water Temperature: 185°F Ratio:0.15 oz tea / 250ml water

Drinking: You may drink the tea once it has cooled to a comfortable temperature.

Refilling: When the tea liquid reaches about 1/3 remaining, refill the cup to approximately 70% capacity with 212°F water.

Storage Instructions:

For optimal storage, it is best to place the tea in an opaque, airtight bag and keep it in the refrigerator.

For long-term preservation (exceeding six months), you may store it in the freezer. Caution: Be sure to avoid repeated thawing and refreezing cycles.

For an enhanced tea experience, we have pre-portioned each bag with the ideal amount of leaves. You can steep the bag directly, or simply snip it open to brew the whole leaves in a teapot for a traditional ritual.
